All function-defining parts – such as the engine, frame, swing arm, exhaust system and chassis components – are developed and manufactured in-house. When building engines, we place our trust in the synthesis between technology and personal controlling. CNC-controlled equipment produces the parts. Then every unit is inspected by experienced mechanics, measured piece by piece and then, in countless step-by-step procedures, joined to form the heart of a KTM.
Every finished engine then undergoes an exacting inspection on the test stand, in which the most important operational parameters – such as function, power output and torque – are tested once more. Because only the combination of handcraftsmanship and computer-controlled manufacturing guarantees the quality that our customers expect from KTM.
