 | HELMET: an off-road full-face helmet is recommended. The lighter it is, the less strain there will be on your neck muscles.
| | NECK BRACE: The aim is to minimize the risk of injuries on the neckspine in case of serious falls. |
 | PROTECTIVE GOGGLES are equipped with a double lens that doesn't fog up as easily. |
 | A classic MOTOCROSS CHEST PROTECTOR or protector shirt protects your back, shoulders and upper body. Wear ELBOW GUARDS, over those a CROSS SHIRT and, depending on the weather, a vest or a (waterproof, ventilated) jacket. Lined jackets with integrated protectors are less suitable for tours in the summery South. |
 | A KIDNEY BELT supports and relieves the strain on your back muscles. |
 | MOTOCROSS GLOVES are best for off-road riding; in the rain, wear neoprene gloves. |
 | CROSS-TROUSERS of synthetic materials are robust and yet lightweight. Hip padding is recommended. |
 | No one goes off-road without KNEE GUARDS. |
 | ROBUST (OFFROAD) BOOTS have prevented more than a few foot and ankle injuries. A smooth sole helps steady you when drifting. |
 | Carry the tools and replacement parts you might need in your BELT BAG, to fix the most common breakdowns. Two-stroke riders should carry some oil with them. Always carry something to drink, your driving license, vehicle documents and some cash in the local currency for stops at the village pub. | Off-road riding can be very strenuous, which is why overly warm clothing (on-road, full-face helmets, leather pants and jackets) is not recommended for the summer tours in the South.
Your clothing and gear must fit! That's why tour participants must bring their own riding wear. |
